A new study on the reactivity under various atmospheres of nanoscaled metal borides produced from molten salt synthesis is published in Inorganic Chemistry. We have gathered a multidisciplinary consortium, combining advanced nanomaterials synthesis, in situ electron microscopy and synchrotron-based in situ X-ray spectroscopies, to unravel the strong structural reorganization of these nanomaterials:
DOI: 10.1021/acs.inorgchem.7b01279 A new paper on hybrid inorganic-organic gold nanoparticles bearing phase-separated organic shells has been accepted for publication in ACS Nano. We have combined advanced computations, synthesis and electron microscopy, to unveil intermolecular H-bonding as the driving force for phase separation, thus paving the way to controlled dissymetric nano-objects. Many thanks to Marialore Sulpizi (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), Frederic Tielens (UPMC) and Ovidiu Ersen (IPCMS Strasbourg) for this stimulating collaboration.
